Rindisbacher, Occupation of the Unfortunate Colonists within sight of a mass of ice of 5700 cubic [metres?], watercolour & ink, 1821


A young Swiss immigrant, Peter Rindisbacher, recorded his arrival aboard the ship Wellington at Fort Churchill in 1821, following this with a series of detailed images tracing his overland travels to the Red River colony.
